Detailed Description of Shows:

Catty Cats by Pandora Theatre

Discpline: Theater
Things can turn catty when these two friends start commenting on the way other people dress. No one is safe from these self-appointed fashion police-- and they do it with a smile and a song.

Currently in their fourth season, Pandora Theatre is Houston's only theatre dedicated to producing works that speak to the female spirit. Their yearly variety show, Vox Feminina, has become a wildly successful "girls night out" experience and is a part of the National S.W.A.N. (support women artists now) movement. www.pandoratheatre.com

Dave and Andy’s Biscuits and Gravy Radio Hour by David Pella and Andrew Badell

Discpline: Music
Dave and Andy’s Biscuits and Gravy Radio Hour presents an acoustic duo known to play an eclectic range of music from old-time to modern rock.

Dolls by Mallé FeMallé

Discpline: Burlesque
In the performance Dolls, Mallé FeMallé takes you on a sexy, dark, genderfuck burlesque adventure. A burlesque unlike any you may have seen before... with a sideshow twist. Ultimately leaving you a exhilarated, shocked, and guessing what body parts were fake (if any!) and which were real.

Mallé FeMallé is the genderfuck burlesque persona of Houston area artist Koomah. Mallé FeMallé is best known for confusing the audience and twisting their perception of the gender and body parts. Mallé FeMallé is a performer at "Queerlesque!" in New Orleans.

Like A Ma’am by Dorianne Castillo

Discipline: Dance
"The best thing about being a woman is the prerogative to have fun"- Shania Twain says in her lyrics. Like A Ma’am is a funny, quirky portrait of the lives of busy, yet powerful women in everyday life situations. Dancers: Allyssa Abacan, Adriana Flores, Raquel Kahn, Kristina Pratts, Lena Silva, Megan Weintraut.

Dorianne Castillo enjoys dancing with FrenetiCore and Rice Dance Theater in Houston, Texas. She is also an alumnus from Escuela de Bellas Artes in Ponce, PR and Andanza School of Dance in San Juan, PR where she received her dance training. She is currently a PhD chemistry candidate at Rice University.

Monomyth by The New Movement

Discipline: Improv
The cast of Monomyth specializes in an improv form called a Bat. By taking away light, the physicality of the performers is limited while the audience's senses are heightened. Performers weave vocal soundscapes, transcend boundaries of time and space and visit settings outside the realm of a typical improv performance. A BAT is only hindered by the boundaries of imagination.

Monomyth is an improv troupe with The New Movement Houston, a comedy theater and training center focusing on long form improv and sketch comedy writing. Troupes perform on Fridays and Sundays at Avant Garden. TNM has theaters in Houston, Austin and New Orleans. www.tnmcomedy.com

Picture Perfect by Laura Harrell

Discipline: Dance
Picture Perfect focuses on a tension-filled relationship between two people. The first section brings light to the moments of feeling helpless and defeated that we as human beings often face when coping with a difficult relationship. The second section reminds us that even though most pictures hold a treasured memory, they may not be the truest depiction of reality.

Laura Harrell, a native Houstonian, is currently in her third, and final year of graduate school at Sam Houston State University (SHSU) in Huntsville, TX where she is pursuing an M.F.A. in dance. Her choreography has been showcased at numerous SHSU Dance Dept. shows as well as The Dance Gathering in Houston, TX. Laura is ecstatic to be sharing her work with Houston once again at this year’s Houston Fringe Fest, Anything Goes Weekend!

Poletry by Team Study Abroad

Discipline: Burlesque
Poletry is the fusion of art and motion. Enjoy this heightened poetic experience, the perfect blend of prose and poles!

Soiree of Illusions by The Plastic Clown

Discipline: Poetry
confessional poetry that brings the audience to the brink of an emotional breakthrough while dealing with serious and intellectual ideas in an unexpected and sometimes frightening manner, but leaves them floundering in a swelter of embarrassing memories, uneasy laughter, catharsis and ultimately, thankfulness.............also see; rude & funny & profane poetry speaking truth to the powerless

The Chip Tune Crooner

Discipline: Music
The Chip Tune Crooner (aka Robert Thoth) will also perform a set of musical standards accompanied by an 8-bit orchestra, complete with chunky pixel-art music videos.

Robert Thoth co-founded FrenetiCore in 2000 and has since been creating film, narratives, and music for dance. Thoth is a self-styled composer, multi-instrumentalist, filmographer, writer, graphic designer, and new-media artist.

The Wrath of Ike by Jim Tommaney

Discipline: Theatre
President Eisenhower returns from Hades to discover his advice "beware the military-industrial complex" has gone unheeded.

Jim Tommaney reviews the smaller theaters for The Houston Press, and is Artistic Director of Edge Theatre, which has produced over 150 plays since opening in 1995, most of them in South Florida. Jim has written eleven full-length plays, and eight one-acts, most of them produced. His play Breakthrough won an Audience Favorite Award in Houston Fringe '11. He is delighted that he moved to Houston from Miami two years ago.
